 Traditionally I have not had good luck sharpening or having blades sharpened, hence the extra chains but I was determined to try it again with this product.


I decided to start off with my existing Oregon blade that was already dull. I didn't want to mess up a newer chain while I learned to use this thing... I sharpened after each tank of gas, and I cut the 5 trees and still have not put one of the new chains on my saw. I could definitely feel the difference when I didn't get as good of an edge and was able to work out a good system that felt consistent on the cut (get yourself a $6 stump vise from Northern Tool to help you do this)
